Remember you can also search the World Book Online from the comfort of your home by picking up a password at the Hawarden Public Library. This service is made possible through Enrich Iowa Funds from the State of Iowa.  Make sure to pick up the password at the library circulation desk.

The World Book Online is available in English and Spanish.  There are versions for youngsters and adults.

There is even a feature that gives bibliographic citations!  CHECK IT OUT TODAY!

There's something new on the library's web page.  Check out the Helen Vipond Slide Digitization Project.  From this point you can search Hawarden's

collection of historical slides.  Make sure to read more about it.  We are excited to add 650 more photos to the project.  Thanks to a grant from the Hawarden Community Foundation.  Watch this space for the official date that these photos are online.  Also, MAC users should have easier access to the collection because of a new link on the page.  Just click on the above link to try it out if you ae a MAC user.

SIOUX COUNTY NEWSPAPERS ONLINE

Check out this link to search the newspapers of Sioux County, Iowa.  You can search by date, keyword, and almost any word or word combination.  This new service is the result of a cooperative grant of the Sioux County Library Association funded by the Sioux County Community Foundation.
